Mozilla VPN is Mullvad's network with Mozilla's branding and account system. Excellent infrastructure, simple apps, but you pay more than going to Mullvad directly.

Our Mozilla VPN review
Mozilla VPN is a reseller arrangement done honestly: Mozilla licenses Mullvad's network and runs its own apps and billing on top. The servers your traffic crosses are the same diskless WireGuard machines Mullvad operates, which is about as good a foundation as exists.
The apps are open source, deliberately minimal, and free of the upsell clutter that fills most VPN clients. Five devices, a kill switch, split tunneling, multi-hop and DNS-level ad blocking, and nothing else demanding your attention.
The awkward part is the value equation. Mozilla charges around $4.99/mo annually for access to a network Mullvad sells directly for about $5.50 flat, with anonymous accounts and cash payment. Mozilla requires a Mozilla account tied to an email address, and Mozilla is a US company, so account data sits under US jurisdiction even though traffic does not.
You also lose Mullvad's more advanced options, and Mozilla does not support streaming unblocking, obfuscation or port forwarding. Availability is restricted to a list of supported countries.
Cure53 has reviewed the clients and infrastructure, and Mozilla's institutional track record on privacy is genuinely strong, which is the main reason to prefer this over going direct: some people would rather have a recognizable name and a normal account than a random number.
Buy it if the Mozilla brand and simple billing matter to you. Buy Mullvad directly if you want the same servers cheaper, with anonymous accounts.
Notable facts

Frequently asked questions
Is Mozilla VPN just Mullvad?
The network is Mullvad's, licensed by Mozilla, but the apps, accounts and billing are Mozilla's. Buying Mullvad directly is cheaper and more anonymous; Mozilla offers a familiar brand and a conventional account.
Does Mozilla VPN work with Netflix?
Not reliably. It inherits Mullvad's position of not chasing streaming unblocking.
Where is Mozilla VPN available?
In a limited list of supported countries. Check the product page before subscribing, since availability has changed over time.
