Our Speedify review
Speedify solves a different problem from every other entry in this directory. It bonds multiple internet connections at once, typically Wi-Fi plus cellular, into one logical channel, so a dropped link does not drop your call and total throughput can exceed either connection alone.
For anyone who broadcasts live video from the field, works on trains, or lives with unreliable home broadband, that is genuinely valuable and nothing else in the consumer market does it as well. The failover is fast enough to keep a video call running through a Wi-Fi drop.
It is not a privacy tool. The company is US-based, the protocol is proprietary and closed, the privacy policy retains connection metadata, and there is no audit. Torrenting is prohibited outright.
The free tier is unusual in that it includes the bonding technology rather than a crippled version, capped at 2 GB a month, which is enough to evaluate whether the technology helps you.
Buy Speedify for connection reliability. If you want a VPN for privacy, buy a VPN for privacy, and consider running Speedify for the link and a real VPN for the tunnel if you need both.

Frequently asked questions
What is channel bonding?
Using two or more internet connections at the same time as one, splitting traffic across them and reassembling it at the server. It raises throughput and keeps sessions alive when one link fails.
Is Speedify a good privacy VPN?
No. It is US-based with a closed protocol, retained metadata and no audit. Use it for connection stability, not for privacy.
Does Speedify use more mobile data?
Yes, by design, since it sends traffic across cellular alongside Wi-Fi. There are controls to cap cellular use.
Bottom line
Speedify is a connection-bonding tool that happens to include a VPN. For live video on flaky networks it is excellent; as a privacy product it is not the right category.
